CD ROM Copying

I have 2 pc's and 1 disk of a game that my 2 children like to play is there a way that I can copy the CD-ROM so that they can play it at the same time?

That really depends on the game.
I have made copies of Most of my sons games due tot he fact that he was getting them scratched and damaged from rough use. I did encounter ONE game that I just could not back up though. Depends on if there is any difficult copy right incryption on it or not.


When I copied my sons games I coppied on the fly from through Nero burning rom, copy full disc.

I currently have DVD shrink 3.2....But am unsure how/if if it will work. I am just learning all this stuff so a little more detail would be wonderful.

You are looking for a no cd patch for your game where you just crack the game and play it after doing a full install.

you should be able to just copy a game like that most of the little kids games arent copyright protected with anything fancy.

Would I use a DVD+R or a CD-R?
I have seen that some members are promoing Clone CD/Slysoft Clone CD/Alcohol 120%.
I have never really used my nero other than for music, everything else I do through the Skrink burner or the VSO.

I did try the Whinnie the pooh Kindergarten through the DVD Shrink and all I got was an error.

Do you have Nero burning rom? Thats all you need.

do you have more then 1 rom or burner,

I have a DVD rom and a DVD burner, with 2 drives you should be able to just copy from one disck to a blank on the fly.

I have cd burner (Samsung) Slot 1 and the dvd burner (LG) slot 2
Just for example I just tried to copy through DVD Shrink and I got the following
DVD Skrink Error
Failed to open file
E:\video_TS.IFO
Cannot find file specified

Ok you wont be using dvd shrink, do you understand what I mean by copying on the fly?

Put the game you want to copy in your cdrom and a blank CD in your dvd burner, then open nero burning rom, click cd, copy cd:

Sorry I will try that now....
I was just using the burning rom and burned the game onto a cd-r it said copied succesfully I tried to open it and the install works but when you go to play the game it tells you to insert the cd. So I will now try the on the fly with a DVD.
