how to take stills from avi file??

Hello everyone.

Just wanted to say that you all are awesome. I've read a bunch of your responses, and they've helped me a bunch.

Now that i'm finally able to play my downloaded avi files in Windows Media Player, I was hoping that someone might give me some advice on how to capture a still image (i.e., export as a picture) once the movie is paused.

many player have otions for screencapturing

bsplayer for example

or load your file into nandub/virtualdub and go to file => and choose one of the two options you'll find at the bottom to export either input or output frame to your memory.
