dvd to divx using gordian knot

I have tried so many times... that im already tired of gordian knot, i dont know what im doing wrong, i follow every single step given by divx digest, but when i start with the compressibility check step, the percentage of the bits frame ratio doesnt appear, and because of that ( i think) the final result is awful... please somebody help me with this... thanx

      i never used any comp-check

the comp-check results wont make a difference to your final output - they might however indicate your choosen bitrate is too low.

what bitrate do you use for WHICH film?

what you're saying is that gordian knot is not that good? i usually use a bitrate of 25, and i did it with the movie Heat, the lenght of the movie was 2 hours 50 mins, let me tell you, the result was the worst, no audio, no video.... who knows... maybe the admin should help me with this, coz im following every single step and is not working... thanx for your att. a bitrate of 25 is worse graphics than a gameboy game. Try 900-1100 KBPS on your bitrate.

          Maybe you meant 2500?

            who said so?

i didnt. i do prefer DVX nowadays - that's true.

but not using a comp-check has nothing to do with gk - i dont use a comp-check with dvx either.
