Thats arguable.
I mean it's using Xmpeg.
I don't want to sound negative but there are better DVD to Divx guides to be found

Maybe I was over stating it. But it's good, quick, simple and free.

I've tried it and the results are good.

Not true.

It is just that most DVD-2-AVI enthusiasts prefer the added versatility and options that more powerful tools provide.
