i recently installed easydivxdoesit and ripped a dvd when i went to play it, it was broke up into some vob files and an avi and mp3 file. So i decided to look up some info on wether this was normal or not. The only thing i found was that easydivx sucks according to some. which i took as decent advice because the people on the forum have more experience than i did. can some one get me pointed on a good direction as to what programs are the better ones and maybe some links on some of the better ways to produce backups. From my understanding the ways to back up dvd's to cd'rs that require 4 steps are better then the ways that require one step.

Gordian knot is, according to my opinion, the best tool at this moment. I tried DVX, and i got tired of it, you have to download unnecesary things, compare to gk, and the process is too slow... you might also want to take a look to DVD to Ogm... more quality in less space...Scdlcgs- Improving... Editing is my thing! Have patience...Comment

so far gordian knot is the only program I've used that I liked. I was able to rip a whole bunch of movies getting great full screen quality for movies of about an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes but still having them less than 700mb. After a while though it did start to be kind of spastic and won't let me convert anything anymore.Comment
