New at burning backups for my DVDs

I have a DVD Reader and the Sony DRX500ULX DVD -+R Writer.

    I currently have DVD+R media.

I bought DXD XCopy Xpress and it works great. Problem is I lose the menu alot because of disk size.

I have used DVDX to rip a DVD compressing it to a .vob file and this worked fine. I was told to get NERO ROM Burner to burn but its doesnt work with the Sony.

Is there a program that burns an encoded file to Sony?

Any suggestion on what I am doing is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Bob

in case your present version of nero doesnt support your dvd writer, maybe version 6 might or you could try record now max or create an iso image of your vob files via imgtools and then burn this iso with dvddecrypter.

Didn't your external Sony DRX500ULX burner come with the following?

        Software included MusicMatch Jukebox,Cyberlink PowerDVD,VERITAS DLA,Sonic MyDVD,VERITAS RecordNow DX,ArcSoft ShowBiz,VERITAS Simple Backup

        RecordNow should serve your purpose...
