                shooot! forgot to mention subtitles

when i use windows media player, and use the caption mode, subtitles are in sync, but when i put it in full screen mode, no subtitles appear, is there a way to get the subtitles to work? i installed ffdshow and used the automatic subtitle feature, the subtitles pop up in full screen but they are trailing behind the audio and video. any ideas? better software players? a feature in ffdshow i can use? win media player feature? thanks in advance again

                  which wmp did you use?

i wouldnt recommend any other version of wmp than 6.4

my favourite player is zoomplayer 3, though you should find other decent players as well.

be it bsplayer or media player classic or the core media player

                    hmmm...

hmmm. i tried all those players, doesn't seem to be coming out right, let me give you more info.....the movie is a divx (.avi) file that has a separate .smi (smil) subtitle file with it, both are named exactly the same. perhaps this info is a bit more useful. the only player thats been able to get the subtitles in sync is wmp v.8 w/ the captions on, but not in fullscreen. hope that helps.

You could try out this player called MV2 Player which has almost all of the features offered by other players.

Btw, you should also install VobSub if you haven't done so already.

Good ol' Windows Media Player v.6.4, with captions activated from the dropdown menus will be able to handle your video far better (it's a lower overhead player) than v.8. Install it as follows:

Desktop>>Start>>Run then type (without the quotes) MPLAYER2.EXE
