    AC3 and DivX (with DVDx)

Is it possible to connect an AC3 stream with a ripped DivX Movie?
In DVDx you can choose "export AC3" but I cannot imagine how to go on after this.

at the end of my DVX guide you will find MUXING to....

muxing means multiplexing (i.e. merging) audio + video

my muxing part aims for the OGM container which is similar to the avi container only more advanced and better.

you could stick to this procedure and mux your video and the ac3 audio the very same way as described for muxing avi video + ogg audio in my guide.

it doesnt matter if you have the file saved to ogm or avi when you mux avi + ac3 audio.

take a look at it if you like.

      ripping ac3 with dvdx
means that your selected ac3 file is stored in an avi container
      including video and audio!!
you could display this using the ac3 filter and ac3 decoder
provided by the nimo codec pack.
but make absolutley sur that you get only the codecs that you need from the nimo codec pack!!!

and muxing a movie to an ac3 stream always needs to have
the right time index of preload!!
refer to the guides on this site

        EDIT:

uh i forgot. DVDx should be able to do the muxing by itself.
Just check the video/audio synchronisation in the
INPUT SETTING window in the lower left.

just do a remuxing if the DVDx created movie is out of sync.

You could use virtualdub or virtualdub mod to resync your video
with the appropriate preload/interleave settings that will
"delay" your audiostreams to the right time.
