    cutting scenes

I'm using nandub to cut scenes out of the deleted scenes for a movie and slap them in in their original spot in the movie. right now I'm at the point where I need to save the deleted scenes so that I can insert them into the movie. When I go to save them, I want them to be saved using the divx5 codec, how do I make nandub save using the codec or do I need to use another program?

note: I've done it before but can't for the life of me remember how.

"how do I make nandub save using the codec or do I need to use another program?"

    From the author of NanDub:

"I've coded Nandub for DivX 3.11alpha and MPEG4v2 and it won't work with any other more recent VKI patches or bundles à la 3.20 or the likes."

    Use either VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod...

direct stream will copy/save the part/movie UNaltered.

if you want to use a different codec you will have to use full processing mode, pick the codec of your choiuce and compression level.

what codec is being used now and why do you want to change the codec?

make also sure that the codec settings of the deleted scenes
match exactly the codec settings that you used while encoding
the main movie. also the audio codec must match as well as
resolution. otherwise it will rain error messages.

I also suggest that you read some online guides and articles about virtual dub on this site,
          or at

          good luck.

I'm using divx 5.05 and that's what they're encoded with already. it's just that in nandub it wasn't letting me chose any codec. one other thing, the one scene freezes about halfway through. I want to use vdub and mask the bad frames but it won't let me. under the Scan video stream for errors menu it just gives the option to scan and nothing else. how do I make it mask them?
