My AVI Problem

Hi

It is the first time using AVI files.
I downloaded an AVI File, and when trying to play it nothing happens.
I am using players such as windows media player or AVIPreview.

My operating system is windows 2000 professional.

Before, I could not open the file, and thus I had to installed Codec: DivXPro505

Now, the file opens, but besided a nive logo of DIVX, nothing happens: No picture and no voice, but it seems that the player is running (The time track is moving)

Any help will be very much appreciated.

I would recommend the BS Player that you can download at the softwaresection of this site just click on divx digest on the top of this site.


as filterpack I recommend the Tsunami Mini filter pack 3.9.6
that you can get from here ad the download section.

on top of that I also recommend that you read the STICKY
postings first before ask very general questions.

first of all you have to check stickies and then, if it doesn't fit to your problem, start a new thread in the right forum.
