    Trial and lots of error...

You're right johnbmx4christ, it's taken alot of practice, but once you get on a role, it's lots of fun. I would never consider selling these like so many others do on the 'net, but it's great for personal collection purposes

It's really worth it to do Force2film in the DVD2AVI, then use NTSC Film1246 in TMPGenc. Movies really come out nice this way, and using the software duo DVD2AVI & TMPGenc is faster and better I've found than using FlaskMPEG.

    Happy encoding!

I must agree, i Rip exately the same way
I find that i get the best results and heaps easier using the following programs except with my AMD 600 processor takes me about 40+ minutes to Rip to my HDD using CLAD DVD, 30 minutes to convert with DVD2AVI, and about 10+ hours using TMPGEnc to convert to MPEG. This is for your average DVD though

If I've already got MPEG files, can I just write them to a CD and they'll work in my DVD player?

Is there any special software I need, and if so, what?

        Thanks

        Jamie

If you already have the MPEG file you can burn to VCD using NERO.

Anything different if backing up DVD audio?

Hi all, this is my first post here.

What about DVD audio? Is anything done differently?

            I am just learning.

Are there any other good places to start to read up on Backing up DVD's and creating SVCD's?

            Thanks!!
