    Joining BMPs to MPG

    Hi

    I used my cam to capture a video. The output was a 50MB mpeg file. I wanted the audio stripped off, so I use VirtualDubMod (VirtualDubMod_1_5_10_2_All_inclusive)
    to export the frames as bmps which resulted in 3300 bmps. Now I tried using Widnows Movie Maker to join them back as wmv file but its taking forever, so I cancelled it.

    Is there an alternative method to combine the bmps back into an mpeg ?

    Thanks

    iirc there was a tool by the name of "bmp2mpg" for this kind of task

    but maybe you should have stripped the audio off your file in a different way and thus not save tons of bmp files

    if you like give us some more details on the why and how

        well, that shouldnt be a big problem as long as your streams are mpeg-comliant

        get a copy of tmpegenc
        => file => mpeg tools
        => simple de-multiplex
        => load your mpeg and accept or define path and name for output material
        => start

        you should find a video and an audio stream afterwards

        good luck
