Newbee needs some help. Please view Log

I would like someone to tell me why I cannot burn. I'm using Dfab decoder and attempting to use Nero to burn. I read the troulbe shooting advise that was posted but still no luck. I tried to just use the Dfab to burn but again was unsuccessful. Please Help!!! I will post the nero history. Thanks

Well just for starters, with a brief glance your DMA is off & your Nero needs updating.

Edit: When you update Nero do not install InCD & you are going to have to wait on a pro to see if there is a firmware update because I could not find one. Why don't you give The Golden Rules a read while you are waiting.

I'm obviously new here but why does it seem half the posts in this forum are about nero or some other program like DVDFab? Isn't this the DVD shrink forum?
Sorry, TJ. Not trying to hijack your post...just getting confused. Wish I could help ya.

Your DMA is still OFF on the HP burner.

Here is a great guide on DMA

You are nowhere near ready to burn as I told you in Post #2, so wasting blanks is all on you, so you have a choice to make. You can either take the advice being given here & you will burn or keep creating your Christmas decorations for this year. When you update your firmware, do it from safe mode & no disc in drive.

soup has spoken for a lot of us, not to be mean or anything but ignoring good advise from people trying to help is no way to get help

crossposting and starting a new thread is disrespectful and wasting others time

                    threads merged

Thanks for the help so far but still not working.

I updated the firmware and my DMA appears to be on all however In my IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers I have 2 Primary IDE Channels On the first labeled 0 I have transfer mode DMA if available and on the current transfer mode I have UDMA mode 5. then I have directly under that DMA if available and Current transfer mode says Not applicable. On the second Primary I have DMA if available and Ultra DMA mode 2 Do I need to change anything and do I need to delete or deactivate on of the two primary IDE channels. When I tried to burn it stopped. Thanks alot for your help. jones
