Transferring videos from miniDV camcorder to PC can be done easily via firewire interface

        Regards

If the video is recorded on a mini Dvd you can also just use DvdDecrypter, its fast for doing a transfer from disc to hard drive. From there you can use several different tools to join/edit clips and put them on a Dvd5.

You should get something like Pinnacle Studio which lets you edit your movies. Otherwise you will produce some v boring stuff. You will need a decent computer with plenty of hard drive (10-20GB) free and finally lots of time. It is quite easy jusst time consuming.
