    problem

    just downloaded another avi and tried opening it with virual dub and it wont open, gave error message couldnt find codec or sumthin like that for format"dx50" anybody got a clue cuz i dont, does that mean the divx5.0 codec??? help cuz i have the 3.11 alpha codec installed do i need another and if i do can i have both installed with nno pproblems???

      Divx5 and divx3.11 can coexists without problems, but it has also been know to cause problems. If you only need divx5 for playback, you don't need to install the codec, the divx player has it's own inbuild divx5 decoder.

      To install the divx player, just download the divx5.02 standard bundle from www.divx.com , and run the installer, you can then choose to install the player only.
