    Svcd

I finally managed to create some video clips with sound using dvd2avi or vob2avi im not sure, but it looks and sounds great on my pc.....i even managed to get them on cd and i think its SVCD.....using nero..... it plays on my home dvd player.... the problem is the sound is still great but the picture on my tv is very low quality...maybe this is normal , i dont really know , but is there anything i can do to get better video quality , i used divx 4.12 as compression? (dont know if i said that correctly) ....thanks for any sugestions

What are your encoding procedures? And what is the original source of the video (and audio)? If you are creating (S)VCD and the source was not encoded with DivX codec in the first place (eg. DVD, MPEG, etc.), there is no need for you to compress it into DivX. Simply send the file into TMPGEnc, set up your settings (cropping, noise filtering, etc.) and start your encoding. Use TMPGEnc wizard to make an SVCD. It only makes things easier. The resulting file can then be burned into playable CDs.

Take a look at http://www.vcdhelp.com if you want to know how to create perfect (S)VCDs using TMPEG.
