How do i replace home made dvd sound track?

    Hi

We made dvds of bus top trips around cities and most of the sound track is of traffic. Could someone please advise and recommend software to replace the the noise with music eg from a cd?

never used a forum before so apologies if i missed any vital info!

Any help would be very much appreciated

    thank you

do i get it right that you want to dub CERTAIN scenes and keep the audio of other parts and not dub the entire video with a completely new audio stream?

in order to dub precisely you will have to use video editing software from companies such as: pinnacle; sony; corel/ulead and pic one of their "video studios"

you will find trial versions of most of those editing solutions on their website

hmmm, you could do it this way:

        1) create an audiofile (ac3 later on, first maybe a wav file which will have to be converted to ac3 in a second step)

        2) demux (split) your dvd streams - i.e. separate audio and video streams with dvd decrypter or vobedit or pgcdemux

        3) mux (merge) original video and NEW audio file to new dvd with ifoedit or any mpeg muxer (like DVDAuthorGUI or Muxman)

all steps can be done with freeware tools but it will be a tough job when you have never dealt with any of the tools and processes before.
