can i on some kinde of way see what codec a divx file are using ?

I need to know what codec a divx file are using i have no idee but i have no sound.
maybe its a stupied question but anyway.
is there some kind of program u can use ?

Virtualdub. Open file, go to File -> File Information. There you can find what codecs are used to compress both the video and audio.
