We certainly don't speak the Queen's English or even Standard English, as you of course know.

In America:
A boot is something we wear, it goes over your sock on your foot.
A windscreen is a row of bushes or fence to block the wind.
We don't take a holiday, we go on vacation.
Nobody here is 'in hospital' they are in 'the hospital'.
Never seen a 'barrister' but we have way too many lawyers and attorneys.
We play football and soccer, not footie.
We don't have pushchairs or prams, we call them strollers.

And of course we drop the 'u' in alot of english words, put the 'e' inside words instead of on the end of them, swap around alot of 's' with 'z's or use them in place of 'c's, and replace some ending 't's with 'ed's.

OK to get back OT, I translated EB's request into "how would you describe this video" and my thought was that it looked grainy. So I would have thought a de-grain filter would be recommended, vs. a de-noiser.

Anyway I am curious about filters too, but haven't had time to sort and correlate video problems to filters needed.

That would make for a great website BTW, pics of "here's a problem video, these are the filters you would try"...

I don't know if thare are any de-grain filters per se. Great resource for and about filters is don graft's site http://www.neuron2.net/
