Procoder 2 is sensational for low BR stuff. I can't say that HC is bad, but really Procoder is just top of the tree IMO.
It's a shame they don't have a trial of some sort. You'd see it immediately. Plus, you don't have to play around with matrices. It picks its own internal routines.
It also does conversions from just about anything to anything. Cooks dinner for you too!
Procoder mastering quality is probably the slowest. But I encode at about 27-28 fps which is faster than real time (PAL) using multiple encoder processes.
Just did Prison Break Disk 1 - took about 140 minutes.
So are you saying it's worth $250 and is a way better encoder compared to the free ones out there can you see a big difference in quality. And don't worry about picking your words carefully to voice your opinion I realize it's just your opinion and I am not going to wine and cry and blame blu if I am not satisfied lol.But seriously I trust your opinion
i haven't used procoder, but i've heard that it softens the picture slightly, so i wouldn't recommend it for higher bitrate stuff.
CCE is known to be better at higher BR and HC is known to be good at lower bitrate. but with the use of matrices, both encoders can work great for both high bitrate and low bitrate.
i personally use CCE for everything, and i've tried all the free encoders. another big plus to CCE is it's the fastest.
