With AQE I don't think so, I have messed with this series a lot with QuEnc with QLB Matrix and filters and HC couldn't come close with out the use of filters and the use of dgdecodes deblock and same went for AQE and the quality still wasn't good enough. With procoder all I used was removegrain sse3 mode=2 because this series needs it, and procoder can get it done faster then the other 3 encoders as for the Halos I could always us one of theses three methods to remove it DeHalo_alpha,TBilateral or VagueDenoiser(I am not that familiar with Vague) . I am not saying it's impossible with AQE but I know it can't be done with out the help of at least 3-5 filters which will slow you down more.Maybe some one with more experience will prove me wrong and that's fine with me I will learn something new I can only go by my own experience with this series and encoders
of all the encoder-which one

Dehalo_alpha slows you down quite a bit, but I guess not many ppl know that spline resizers are natural dehaloers and sharpener.Comment

I was making a general comment, not specific to your encodeComment

after i played around with PC2 more, i've decided to go back to my original favorite (CCE). i've now tried all the encoders, except QuEnc and i've always went back to CCE. with lower bitrates, PC2 was better, but using the AVAMAT7 (or AutoQ2) matrix with CCE, its an excellent combo for lower bitrate encodes, as the avamat7 matrix is great for removing blocking and noise.Comment

Thanks for brining up AVAMAT7 this is the first I have heard of it, I will look in to it and give it a tryComment

Are all you guys using multiple encoder processes to let you get 28fps?
Using Procoder2 set to Mastering Quality on my P4 3.06ghz I only get about half that.
A recent M*A*S*H episode disk:
-- Processed 282,492 frames.
-- Building .AVS and .ECL files
- Reduction Level for DVD-5: 57.1%
- Overall Bitrate : 3,305/2,644Kbs
- Space for Video : 3,803,330KB
- HIGH/LOW/TYPICAL Bitrates: 3,513/1,178/2,644 Kbs

Yup Mastering quality, multiple processes, I get 30 fps on a PAL DVD (20% faster than real time). Athlon X2 3800 O/C'ed to 2500Mhz.

Will multiple processes make a difference with my single core, non-HTing CPU? It will run multiples. Ive tried it. But I've never done a complete WITH vs. WITHOUT comparison.
Maybe I'll do a test tonight. and rerun the M*A*S*H disk with multiple processes.Dell Inspiron 5150, 3.06 Ghz, 1 Gb RAM, 40 Gb system HDD, 100 Gb external USB, WinXP Home SP2, NEC ND-6650A, Epson R-200.Comment

That INI file is created and used by ECLPRO. ECLPRO was written by Robot1 as a way to enable the passing of parameter to ProCoder. It reads a CCE style ECL file -- interprets it -- and then sets those parameters in ProCoder via simulated mouse and keyboard events.
That INI file holds the path to ProCoder.exe (so ECLPRO can find it), and some other paramaters that you set up the first time you ran ECLPRO. If you delete that INI file, the next time you run ECLPRO it will assume it is the first time -- and ask you to set the parameters again.Comment
