    its easy, just load your video file into Tmpegenc and converti it to mpeg-1, then use nero to make the vcd...

        To UberSpock

        "If you don't have it, try getting FFDshow. That helped me in converting video."

        As far as I know, FFDShow is ONLY a PLAYBACK filter. How, therefore, would it aid in converting video?

          TMPGEnc uses installed AVI codecs to load in the AVI/DivX/XviD file for conversion.

          Having a Directshow filter, such as FFDShow installed, makes loading things easier in TMPGEnc, since it pretty much supports all the frequently used codecs, with especially good support for XviD playback/loading.

            Live and learn!

            From the FFDShow homepage:

            "is based on original DirectShow filter from XviD, which is GPL'ed educational implementation of MPEG4 encoder."

            As I've said many times before, the day I stop learning will be the day I'm placed in a coffin ;>}

                I still can't convert XviD directly to VCD using TMPGenc that's why I use virtualdub to convert DivX to XviD. and then load it into TMPGenc (along with a dubbed wav file). This works although it takes a little longer...

                        thx. that is a very fair price compared to the 900 € I paid for the
                        pro edition.

                          Is it that you are all proffesionals that you actually buy the software? I thought everyone just downloaded that stuff from the web? And man! $900, that's a pretty nice laptop in my eyes Or do you think it's wrong to just use 'illegal' software???
