I have the same proble.I have downloaded an AVI file.How to know what codecs and settings they have used to create AVI file?.
I can tell you my settings to convert AVI to MPEG.

Once again (I'm pretty certain we've reviewed this at another one of your posts), it would appear that you've got a file that has the audio encoded with Variable Bit Rate (VBR) MP3 - with which TMPGEnc cannot cope.
Once again, you can let VirtualDub v.1_4_8 convert it to Constant Bit Rate (CBR) MP3 for you...Comment
