I am newbie,
after managing to extract the audio file from a divX movie as wave and then encode the file to VCD using TMPG encoder, and spliting the file using Virtual Dub ( thanks to 1 Smelly Fish),
Now trying to burn it using Nero ver. 5.018,
but as soon as load the file, i get a message that your file is not Mepg 1, have anybody experience this kind of error, appreciate your help,
here is the error messege I got:
"the ??? is invalid
need mpeg -1 which was encoded for video cd.
audio 44.1 Khz, stereo 224 kBit/s
video: 352*240/29.97 hz or 352*24/23.97 or 352*288/25hz,
The following problem which is invalid for a {super}video-CD.
your are creating a video CD v 2.0(CD-i player) compliant CD, but the mpeg file is not suitable for such a disc .
how would like to proceed?
1 -turn off standard compliance and continue.
2-Reecode the Video file
3- Cancel "
I clicked the no. 2, but not much happend and what it showed up the table was ready to burn but the time of VCD was only about 23 minute, compair to the file which is splited is less than half of time, the first file of the movie is about 54 minut.
any way got confused what I did wrong:
to mentiond that while the cutting was in process i could see some info on the status bar of TMPG that showing :
Video CD NTSC film { MPEG-1 352*240 23.976 fps CBR 1150 kbps, layer-2 4410 Hz 224 kbps}
Your help is appreciated,
Thanx
