    Humming noise during playback

When I attempt to play svcd's on my Apex DVD player, I hear a low but annoying, humming sound. I have played these same disks on other DVD players, but I only get this sound on this particular player. Any ideas why this may be happening? A friend has an Apex player also, as says he hears a noise during playback of my disks too. Thanks

"I only get this sound on this particular player."

Then it should be apparent that the problem lies with your player, or the audio setup that it's hooked up to (Or perhaps you have some type of motor too close to your system)...

use dvdrforums.com to help you out, it has a lot to be learnt on many things. it helped me, there's a downloads place which will, im sure, have noise reduction plugins for certain encoders such as virtual dub etc..

Hope this question is ok here (if not: sorry:newbie here).
                  Just downloaded .mpg movie Luther.deutsch.SVCD_3von3_release.MVV.MPG)
via emule, but have NO sound, although image is ok.
                  What to do ?
In Yamada 6600 dvd player the image/movie itself is ok, but only hard strange noises as sound.
                  Any solutions ?????

                    audio problems in .mpeg2

                    Just downloaded .mpg movie Luther.deutsch.SVCD_3von3_release.MVV.MPG)
via emule, but have NO sound, although image is ok.
                    What to do ?
audio info via VirtualDubMod of the movie file:
                    audiotrack
                    format: 44KHz stereo, 56 Kbps layer 2
                    # of frames: 69175
                    Total size: 12353 K
so there IS audio in this file, I think.....
                    what now ?

mate u need to make sure you've downloaded all the codecs

                      i recomment

Download free DivX Software to play, convert and cast video including DivX, AVI, MKV and HEVC files up to 4K. Play AVI and convert to MP4!

                      Xvid codec,
                      VidX codec

Basically download a codec pack. Nimo is one, use kazaa, anythin..

use a program called gspot it will determine the type of file it is and the codecs needed etc..

win media player 9 needs to be downloaded in full,

fttshow or whatever its called will need to be installed if needed.

thanks, but I tried already VirtualDubMode, and there is an audio file in the movie, but still don't know, HOW to make it work.
