Is there a program to rip VOB audio to Mp3?

Hi all,
I'm continually confronted with small HD issues which leads me to wonder if there's a program which will rip VOB audio straight to an Mp3 (preferably with LAME and 44kHz, but I'll what I can get). If I do away with the WAV intermediary I won't have to free up 2+ gigs of space for the 1hr it takes to encode it.

Try Nandub: set video to no processing, set audio to processing with an MP3 codec.

vob2audio will let you output to either wav, ac3 or mp3.
