    Virtual Dub Dropping frames

It seems when i encode my TV episodes captured via my TV card virtual dub is dropping frames as parts in the movie the frame rate goes down to about 5 fps. I'm capturing the movies at a resolution of 384 x 288 using the divx codec V4.02 then converting it to 320 x 240 and compressing it down to about 50MB using either the divx codec v 3.11 or the microsoft mpeg-4 vki codec V3 and both give the same output slowed down parts of the episode its quite annoying as the orginal captured movie is fine doesnt slow down at all. My pc is running 2k on Athlon 1600+ 256mb of ram

i wouldnt use diovx for primary encoding and no mp3 sound encoding!

try a codec like mjpeg picvideo2 with settings to the max and sound to pcm wave

afterwards load that file into virtualdub again and transcode to divx/mpeg4

    works like a charm
