I have been making divx movies for 1 year now and I am dealing with this problem ever since. When I rip an NTSC(region 1) movie I always get sync problems.
I use dvd2avi to make my v-fapi files so I can make my divx with virtual dub.Region 2 movies have frame rate 25000fps.Region 1 movies have any other except that.I can only force the movie to have 24000fps frame rate.
Anyway, when I make the .avi and the .mp3 file, they haven't got the same length.Example, "I am Sam' movie,is a perffectly playing .avi movie,a perfectly playing .mp3 file,BUT the avi is of duration 2h12m10sec and the mp3 is 2h12m15sec.So when I blend them,i get a sync problem.I tried to fix it with nandub but no use,the sound interleave corrects one spot of the movie and everything else is screwed and the frame rate forcing does no good.I thought of cutting off 5 secs from the .mp3 and try again but again I got nothing. What should I do?Please help if you know and sorry for being borring.
