    VirtualDub AC3/PX3Convert prob

    I have a vid in xvid/ac3 ...

Whats happening is in the finnished product (a vcd) I have some crackling sounds when it gets load.

The conversion process was VirtualDub AC3/save to ac3 then PX3Convert. I think the prob starts in VD AC3. Donno tho.

Can Sound Forge clean it up? The converted wave? I messed with it a lil, but seen nothing that would help and nothing I tryed did ne good.

Can BeSweet do ne better? If so how do I use besweet?

    TIA,

      thanx, but hmmm

I did everything on this page http://www.doom9.org/ac3tomp2.htm
but all that happens when I hit the AC3 to MP3 button is a dos box flashes and disappears... no file is save or worked.

"Whats happening is in the finnished product (a vcd) I have some crackling sounds when it gets load."

        1) Do the "crackling sounds" exist when you play the original file with the .AC3 audio stream?

        2) Do the crackling sounds exist when you play the .WAV file created with the PX3 Converter?

        3) What software and with what settings are you using to create the VCD?

                besweet is a commandline tool

if you want to use it with a userfriendly graphical interface, get yourself the *besweet GUI*

it should look somewhat like this:

when i doubleclick besweet.EXE the command line tool will flash up an fanish (of course - since i didnt specify any parameter)

when i start the GUI.exe everything works fine and i get the picture shown above.

when your gui starts fine, why would you doublick on the besweet.exe?

                      I don't...

I'm using the GUI like yours cept mine is b59 not b55... when I've set all the parameter and hit the green AC3 to WAV buttom the besweet cammand line runs but doesn't finnish.. it only flashes as if there something wrong with my besweet install or maybe I'm missing something in the parameter department.

I'm real new to the command line app and GUI so I may have missed something. the AC3 file is 80 megs I can up it to an FTP if you wouldn't mind taking a look at it and seeing if you can fix it. The crackling noise is all thru the movie during loud bassy type audio. Towards the end say 2 min prior is where I've been checking... When Anni Skywalker is racing in Star.Wars.EP.I.The.Phantom.Menace.1999.iNT.DVDRip. XviD-aNBc

                      thanx 4 your hep
