    Anti shit or not?

    When using nandub or gordian knot with 3.11, should i use anti shit or not? And why?

    Turn it on only when your resulting AVI suffers from shit artifacts.

        Something to add here. Most of the time, shits rarely occur, especially if you use high enough a bitrate. Areas to watch out for would be rapidly changing black areas (flipping hair, fast-sliding meshwire, etc.).

          i realised artefacts at least ONCE in evry title when NO antishit was used!!

          i had it activated all the time when using nandub


          with divx5, however, it's not an issue any more

            It rarely occurs to me. Granted, most of my encodes involve japanese animation and hence your experiences are most probably different from mine. Also, when it occurs, it is almost after i applied hue/saturation/intensity filter to strengthen the colour (hence I only apply it sparingly nowadays).

            Does not enabling antishit slow down the encoding process greatly?
