    New Nandub Version Rc3!

    i came across this news:

    +++++
    Due to the fact that Nandub is now defunct,
    yet still used for video editing,
    I've taken up the project to update it to the latest libraries and code from VirtualDub.
    I'll work on a little bit of coding to get it all compatible.
    I'm NOT a good programmer...
    In fact, you can consider me as not being a programmer,
    but I understand most concepts of the programming world.
    I understand very little C++...
    and I took half a year course in it....
    Anyhow, here's the latest builds of Nandub including updated OGG and Vorbis libraries.
    I'll try to include an MP3Pro encoder and decoder into the program soon.
    Then, I'll work on what ever people want,
    as long as people can help me out with the programming.
    +++++

    Any changes for the video encoder, apart from the addition of more sound formats?

    p.s. That's unexpected of you, UncasMS. Thanks!

      of couse i wont use it for encoding (you know me by now )

      but maybe ogg-support might provide us with a little more reliability when it comes to muxing/cutting avi + ogg!?

      oggmux still lacks cutting at keyframes when you have the auto-split option activated :-=(

        The Dead are coming alive

        Great idea Uncasms!

        BTW there are many Virtualdub "Mod" projects in development, perhaps you would want to join them?

                      Uncas, you should put a name as to who wrote the news. We all thought you were the one who came up with the new release, thanks to the lack of any acknowledgeable name.

                      But anyway, thanks for sharing that news.

                        i always use ++++ ...........++++ to mark the content as quotation.

                        i'll try to be more precise from now on - though i thought it would be considered as copy&paste.

                        and the way i copied it is entirely the way i came across the news.

                        anyway

                            Always, but I'm also aware that anyone is allowed to further develop his tool as long as the person acknowledges Nando (or something like that).

                              Back on topic, upon unzipping the file, nandub would not open, complaining that it is missing a few files, namely: ogg.dll and vorbis.dll. I simply copied the named files from my existing nandub (rc2) into the unzipped folder and nandub rc3 opened. That brought me to thinking: Is this what I'm supposed to do or did Nando simply fail to remember including those files in the package, updated or not?

                              On the other hand, the encoder looks very much the same with a little change on descriptions, which is a fresh change anyway. I'll see how it performs for SBC encoding, though I'm sure it'll just be the same as rc2.
