I was following a guide on converting DVD material to Divx, but the stuff involving NTSC video type has me stumped. The guide says to run an IVTC conversion on the DVD2AVI project file using the program TMPGEnc. However, the TMPGEnc project file is incompatible with Gordian Knot. I've tried converting to a VFAPI-AVI file, but that doesn't work as well. Anyone have any ideas how to get around this?

Couldn't find the old log, but i tried encoding again under the exact same conditions:

Could you try loading the file "D:\Ripped stuff\test.avs" into virtualdub, select video->compression, select the Divx5 codec, click configure and set 'Variable bitrate mode' to '2-pass first pass', click Ok,OK. And save as a avi file.
I don't think you will succede with the above, but when you get an error message, tell us exactly what it says, and where you got it.Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.

That would indicate that avisynth is not properly installed, you can get it from www.doom9.net , but to be on the safe side you might want to get the "Gordian Knot System pack" which includes avisynth.Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.
