Making 2 disc DivX files with Gordian's Knot?

I'm just learning to convert DVDs to DivX5. I tried 2 or 3 guides, but found this one to be the easiest to understand and get started with...

digital, digest, dvd, divx, dvdr, dvd+r, dvd-r, rip, copy, ripping, convert, backup, back, up, shrink, xvid, software, download, news, guide, article

I've encoded several movies now and am very satisfied with the results, however I have on problem that I am not sure how to resolve.

I want my DivX AVI files to fit on two CDs. So I selected the "2 CD" size on Gordian's Knot. When the job is finished I get an AVI file about 1.2 GB in size.

Is there a setting in Gordian's Knot or one of the tools it uses so I can tell it I want to 700 MB files instead of one huge file? If not, is there another tool I can use to split these large AVI files?

    Thank you.

you should split the file later on manually

click my upper anigif to be taken to my guide

you will find an answer on how to split with NANDUB at the end of the MUXING part in my guide!

      Thank you for the reply.

I read your guide on Gordian's Knot and that seems to be basically what I've done.

I tried to read your Nandub guide, but got a 404 Page Not Found error for this link...

So I have not yet been able to find the answer. I'll take a look at Nandub though and see if I can figure it out. Thanks.
