      One last time -

I repeat, downloading and installing the DivX v.3.11alpha codec should resolve your dilemma...

oh i just found out why

when the first time i installed the divx alpha 2.0 it was installed in the directory : "C:\Documents and Settings\rumi\Start Menu\Programs\DivX\DivX Player 2.0 Alpha" and i couldn't play the player

but the second time i installed it in the different directory where
"C:\Program Files\DivX\DivX Player 2.0 Alpha" and i had no error message and smoothly i could play the player.

        i wonder what's the difference....
        any sugestions?

                codecs

If you got those codecs then it must be a corrupt file.that codec pack contains loads of up to date stuff. When I moved TMPGEnc to another file I got errors saying unable to find codecs so I cut and pasted the codecs to TMPGEnc file and it cured the problem so I assummed they work better together. Your fault resemmbled mine but if you get nothing from any player then file seems favorite.
