    Audio synchronisation

    Hello,

I am trying to use VirtualDub to change the vide/audio format of a file to the following:
    - Encode video in MPEG4 (352x288)
    - Encode audio in MP3

It is really strange. depending on the audio source of the video file (mp3, pcm...), it will either work fine, or be totaly desychronised or no sound at all... and i didn't manage to find the exact rule!!!!

What I would need is to give a list of file in input (what ever the video/audio format is), and get in ouput a list of MPEG4/MP3 file.

Any help would be appreciated. For information: these file will be used on an Archos Jukebox multimedia.

    Cheers, Quentin

    1) Load the .AVI file into VirtualDub

    2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

    3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (both video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

Here is the file information (joint jpg).
With this file, it works when I encode the ausio in MP3 mono 8kb/s, but the sound is not so good...
Id I choose an other format (still mp3) it could be totally desynchronise (e.g. speed so quick you can not understan...) or only a few desybchronisation.

The problem is I would like to set-up a generuc configuratin to encode many files that I would like to copy on the Archos Multimedia player...

      Thnaks for your help, Quentin

I'm sorry, I'm having a hard time believing my eyes!:

Are you actually working with a SIX SECOND video, compressed with an Indeo compressor, with Uncompressed PCM MONAURAL audio at 11,025Hz???

(Or are you just trying to "have a little fun" with the posters here?)

This is not a joke. I know itis a small file, but I really need to encode it in MPEG4 / MP3 to able to look at it on the Archos box...

Enclosed an other file that I would need to encode, different size, differente format. Sound doesn't work at all with this one.

          Cheers.
