    Divx bitrate calculators

    Hello

I was wondering, all those bitrate calculators take your length of movie, audio-quality and size of cd to calculate bitrate, right? But how about the width and height of the movie? Doesn't it matter if it's 720x576 or 320x256? Is there a calculator that takes this in note? Because I just encoded a movie, that was 720x576, and the bitrate calculator's output for 1 cd was 668. I ended up with a 700MB file. That'd be good, if it wasn't just the video. What are the standards for bitrate calculators?

the total amount of calculated bitrate will be used for the ENTIRE resolution, thus a smaller resolution will receive more bits/pixel since you have less pixel.

this calculation is NOT being taken into consideration by calculators.
that's on the other hand, why tools like gordianknot or DVX have a compressibility check, which do consider this relation!
