Vobsub is installed and subs work fine when added to .avi's through the VD filters.

As for selecting the subtitle stream, right click on Ogg Directshow Filter icon in the system tray->Subtitles

I've also tried stopping the file playback, changing the subs and restarting to no avail.

I also have that problem. Whether Vobsub DS filters are installed or not, they won't show up unless I have Ogg subtitle filter installed. And when I do install Ogg sub filter, they show up twice in the screen. So I just don't load vobsub and it works fine now.

                    Having trouble converting DVD=>OGM

I cannot seem to get DVD2OGM to work correctly. I follow the DVD to Ogm conversion guide to the T, and it just craps out on me.

Everything seems fine up until the actual video encoding process. See, it normally takes 7-8 hours to encode a 2 hour movie into DivX using the 5.05 codec on my PC. When I use DVD2OGM and start the encoding process from there, it tells me it's going to take just over two hours. When it completes, I have a 189MB OGM file. Obviously something is wrong.

Now I've read some of the other comments in this thread where people had VirtualDubMod completing the encoding instantaneously. This is not the case here. It does actually take a few hours.

I'm using DVD2OGM 1.35 beta. I have AVISynth 2.5 installed. I have Nimo's Codec pack installed. I installed DivX Pro 5.05 long ago.

                    Any advice?

Oh, I should add that the OGM is unplayable. It will open in WMP6. The window will even resize (though not to the correct 640x272). But the play button will be stuck down and the window will remain black. Also no sound is played back.

I also have another question about VirtualDubMod. I was completely unfamiliar with this tool before DVD2OGM. However, I have used VirtualDub many times and it's a great tool. When I found out all the extra stuff VirtualDubMod supported, I was ecstatic. Until I saw there was no Audio menu. Why did they take the audio tools out? I wouldn't even need to use DVD2OGM if the audio menu was there.

                          Sylia error

                          i'm including my log file

i get this Sylia error: variable not found error...i follow the instructions for how to do DVD2Ogm _exactly_, except for where the instructions differ from version 1.35 beta (which is what i am running)

                          however, if i do just 1 pass, CBR it works...but i try 2 pass...*sigh*

                          help, please!

It seems to be the same error that i have found while i tried to encode with dvdtoogm version 1.35 and 1.35.1
I have reported this bug to Dvd and he has resolved it very quickly with the new version.
Download and install Dvdtoogm version 1.35.2 and then you can use the program normally.

I thought I should update on the situation. I recently installed the newest version of DVD2OGM (1.35.2) and tried encoding some movies. They work perfectly!!!

I think maybe Nimo's Codec Pack was messing me up. It really had my codec library bjorked. I don't have it installed anymore.

Hey, are there any plans to allow more than one audio stream in the OGM via DVD2OGM, or does OGM only support two audio streams?

I do have to comment on the guide. Now this is actually in the DVD2AVI guide, but since DVD2AVI is needed for DVD2OGM, I thought it was pretty important. In the DVD2AVI guide, it says that if the movie is 29.970fps and is FILM for less than 90% or is NTSC, use TMPGEnc for IVCT. However, it also says "Do not use this guide if you are using DVD2OGM." So at that point one is stuck.

I encountered this problem once, and I just tried using DVD2OGM's IVCT. It worked in that there was no horizontal banding/interlacing artifiacts, but the movie itself is pretty blurry as a whole. What is the real solution to this problem? Is there even a solution? Are there plans to include support for TMPGEnc project files in DVD2OGM?

I've had a small problem with subtitles but it seems to be the opposite of everyone else. In the vobsub menu there are two options "English" and "Subtitles off" no matter which I pick the subtitles show. If I pick "Hide subtitles" in another part of the menu they do dissappear so it's not really a problem I was just wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

I'm also having a small problem with the chapters. For some reason smartripper isn't picking up the right times for chapterstops. Easily fixable by hand though.
