Question about increasing resolution

Thanks for all the great info from the pros on this forum. Alot of great ideas are being passed by those "in the know". That being said I am a newbie and have a quick question myself.

I am using GK ver .27. After I run dvd2avi and begin setting parameter on the resolution screen, I can never go beyond better than say 448x330 because the bits/pixel*frame setting drops below .20 as the guide states. I am using 1 disc rip w/mp3 sound. How does anyone get a 640x480 rip on one disc? I must be doing something wrong!

- 0.2 is a number NOT a must!

- mp3 would NOT be my first choice when it comes to audio encoding in particular for single cd rips!
OGG VORBIS is way better!

- dont forget to crop! (i.e. 640 x 480 will seldom occur)
