I'm trying to frameserve an AVI file to VirtualDub through AVISynth. I have no problem opening the same AVI directly with VirtualDub, but when I'm trying to open it through AVISynth, I get the following:
AVISynth open failure:
Error initilalizing audio stream decompression:
The requested conversion is not possible.
Check to make sure you have the required codec.
I'm guessing that AVISynth gets confused about which codec to use, because for the same AVI VirtualDub states that Audio is compressed with Fraunhofer, but others, like AVICodec say that it's Lame. Both have the same tag code, so, maybe there's priority problem (which one is first).
This problem, of course, can be avoided by extracting the sound track into an external uncompressed WAV and then opening them separately, but I don't want to do that, because that takes extra time and extra disk space.
Any ideas?
