Wierd Divx encoding issues...

I am currently having 2 issues trying to encode my first 2 seasons of Family Guy. If I am using Gknot .27, I get about 10 pixel colums on the left that look like they have a "brown lens" effect on them. Can't get that to go away. I tried upgrading to Gknot .28, and the brown effect goes away, but now I have a blinking partial white line on the RIGHT side of my encodings. I'm using the exact same settings on both versions of the software, and I'm at wits end! Please, does anyone have any suggestions or possible fixes? Thanks!

Crop the right-side further by 1 or 2 pixels.

in gk's resolution tab you can choose PIXEL and then will be able to change the resolution; i.e. crop any of the four sides.

That did it! Now I'm getting *one* other problem. Every few seconds, the encoded video looks like total crap, and then all of a sudden it's fine again...it keeps doing this on and off every couple of seconds. It never did this in .27... it seems to be a "feature" of .28...anyone else have this problem?

I'm having the same problem. However, no matter how many pixels I trim off any of the sides the blinking white line never goes away! I've tried everything. Tried playing the file through WMP and DivX player. Tried changing the bitrate, resolution. I'm at my wits end.

You can use the internal cropper within the DivX codec configuration. I think it's next to the resize filter. Or you can always go for the option that UncasMs has given to you.

That's if you have DivX Pro. If you do decide to use it though, disable all GKnot cropping and resizing before you use DivX to do this.
