FlasKMPEG with XviD

Hi,

I am new in converting DVDs to AVIs with XviD, so I wanted to know how can I see the total numbers of frames of a movie and how can I know in which frame it is when I am playing a movie. Does anyone know a player that tells you that?? PowerDVD doesn`t show that, neither BSPlayer, nor FlasKMPEG. Can someone help me ?? Thks.

virtualdub has it in the bottom corner bar thing, around there.

also, you might right click it and properties to find the total frames

but I meant the frames in the VOB file concatenated in the FlaskMPEG, how can I see the total frames of it, or in which frames it is currently playing?? Does the DVD2AVI shows that?? If so, I will use it instead of FlasKMPEG to convert my DVDs. Any suggestion??

If you use MPEG Mediator instead of Flask, you'll be able to see this information during processing...

Ok. I need the frame numbers to tell XviD the position of the Credits in a movie. The starting credits I know playing it, but the final credits I just couldn't get....

Then, by all means, simply load the file into VirtualDub, move the slider at the bottom of the window to the desired point (start of end credits) - and write down the frame number...

decent tools, btw, like gordianknot or DVX will let you define this point with one click of your mouse

Ok thanks for helping. One more question, UncasMS: is this DVX free or is it a Shareware?? What about the gordianknot?

both are freeware. just click on the DVX image on uncasms's signiture to get details on how to use it and where to get it from.
