DivX 5.0.5 Ulead 7 multi-pass encoding

Hi. I'm trying to encode video with 2 passes DivX 5.0.5 encoder using Ulead MediaStudio 7. I successfully accomplish first pass. It creates *.log file and a small *.avi file. Then, I try to set second pass but the Ulead always says that codec does not support this frame size (which is 720x480 but I tried others from 60x80 to 800x600 with no success). Does anyone know how to resolve this problem? I'd like to add that I managed to encode this vidio using VegasVideo 4 with the same parameters but I cannot use this program according to circumstances.

i wouldnt know why ulead might be restricted (maybe it isnt and the reason is something else) but maybe trying XVID might be worth a try instead of divx5?
