    Lanczos filter for Avisynth 2.5

    Hi.
I want to know where I can find the Lanczos filter for Avisynth 2.5.
I read this filter it's the best to resize, but every time I try to load my avs to virtualdubmod says that the filter I use lanczos3.dll it's not a avisynth 2.5 filter. So if Lanczos it's the best I want to use with avisynth 2.5
I'm trying to use an avs file i made in notepad, I read and I reach the conclusion maybe it's the best way to encode. But I havong some problems.
First of all I can't get the avs load properly to vdubmod one single time .
Problems with convultion3d says that the values I use are incorrect
    Convultion3d(preset="animeHQ")
    then don't recognise the d2v when I:
    mpeg2source(loctation od the d2v)

Well I hope I can get the avs file loaded correctly at leat one time.
    Thanks beforehand!

With avisynth 2.5.2 the Lanczos filter is embedded. You don't nedd any plugin to use it.

      Lanczos(x,y)?
Where I can find and avs predesigned, I mean, to use like a guide?.
      I'm a little lost

all you need is a line like this to define the resolution:

        LanczosResize(704,288)

add a line with your desired resolution to your avisynth script and you're done

By the way. I want to ask you what is the DVX, the link on the image you have?
It's good?, and the most important it is easy to use?

dvx is similar to gordianknot only more advanced

to me it is much better and yes, it is easy to use

              ++++++++++++++

              I have to use gknot.
this does not mean you couldnt edit the avs (gk uses an avs, too)

              here is one example:

Yes you are right. Gknot uses avs too.
About dvx you said it is more advanced that gknot. In wich way?
Improve the quality?, have more options?.
                The program use divx too?
                And one more question,
You personally how encode your movies?, using dvx or something similar?.
Sorry, for so many questions .
                Thanks

in terms of quality the results MAY be similar as both tool use virtualdub + divx/xvid for the conversion.

i personally use DVX only for a year now and i prefer the options dvx has included without having to edit any avisynth script like in gk.

you have access to resizers: lanczos for example was supported from the start whereas gk only offered lanczos in the latest versions

same goes for divx5.03 or later that gk wasnt able to handle for quite some time, same for xvid.

gk has been improved lately still i wouldnt want to trade dvx in for anything.

ogg vorbis or chapter support, userfriendly gui etc

it is a matter of taste actually and because i knew dvx from the very early days and because it has many features due to intensive dialogues with its author DOLEMITE i simply prefer this conversion tool

                    Thanks.
I download DVX but I can't encode anything always a error shows up.
I'm going to try it with the Divx 5.1 now.

                      Correction to your Convolution3D line: Convolution3d (preset="animeHQ")

As for your D2V file not being recognised, ensure that you use DVD2AVI 1.76, not the more recent DVD2AVI 1.77.

Revise your AVS script and check whether it loads up in VDMod properly this time. If not, copy and paste the entire AVS script on this thread and we can work out on which line the problem lies.

                      Cheers.
