    virtualdub codec problems

    I just uninstalled k-lite codec package and installed divx 3.11alpha/ffdshow/ac3filter/oggfilter/divx5 and removed and reinstalled virtualdub on my system and when i launch virtualdub i still do not see the 3.11 nor xvid codecs on the compression window

    help ?

      you didnt list XVID amongst those codecs installed.

      so did you actually install xvid or not?

      and what would divx3 be good for?
      i consider divx5 and xvid way superior.

          1) What procedure did you use to install the DivX v.3.11 codec?

          2) Did you (cautionary) reboot after installing the codec?

          3) Have you checked the Control Panel ("Multimedia" or similar) to see if the codec is listed?
