Is GordianKnot 0.26b + Divx the best solution

Is GordianKnot 0.26b + Divx the best solution because I have been using my mthod which is

· VirtualDubMod v1.5.10.1
· DivX Professional v5.1.1
· AC-3 ACM Decompressor v0.6
· Fraunhofer IIS MP3 v1.263
· cladBRC .NET v1.4 (optional)

and this has always give me best results, however, I have never use GorianKnot. Any suggestions people?

How fast is DVX compared to gordian knot, or with DVX having firtual dub as well are they just about the same. The thing i hate about gordian knot is the fact that i can't do a 2 pass with XviD because when i try to open up the stats file from where it is, it's not to be seen. You must have to first rip the DVD through virtual dub mod and then load the lossles or extremely high quality avi into nan dub and then encode a 1 pass on that,.

P.S way too much hassle, i'll just stick to straight from the DVD, (not that i can't do it though).

because DVX uses avisynth and vdMOD as well, there shouldnt be any speed difference

two passes with divx 5.11 or xvid up to 1.0RC1 work fine

By the way Live_Life, gordian knot 0.28 is out now, which is what i've got. And uncasMS the reason why i could'nt make a second pass with XviD is because for some strange reason i did'nt close gordian knot and then open it up again. Working fine now though
