    poor sound(HELP)

    [B][FONT=century gothic][COLOR=darkblue] can u help,i had an ac3 codec sound problem with avi film on divx, i posted a thread and some1 said 2 get codec package that containd ac3 codec..it works i have sound BUT very poor quality ..can the powers that B..HELP....thnxs..xxx

      hello there... the voices in the film is very quit but the music and effects in the film is better but still quit..even when i put the volume at MAX(output)... but it only happens with new films other films i have r ok....

        exactly what was to be expected in this case

        what you describe and experienced is NORMAL for an ac3 dolby digital sound!

        still there might be some *cure* for your problem

        install this ac3 filter (http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net/) and use the integrated function to INCREASE / NORMALIZE

          Thnxs for your reply, i have downloaded the ac3 filter 0.70b but no luck,changing settings dont make any difference..i aquired g-spot as another reader sugested and it said i had codecs but when try to render film to test it an error acurse..(Direct show was unable to render- 0x00040242:VFW_S_PARTIAL RENDER-some of the streams in this movie are in an unsupported format.)..This is really starting to do my head in now....any suggestions please....thnxs

                open your file in vdMOD, go to file => file information

                hit print screen on your keyboard, paste the content into any graphic tool (ms paint if you like), save it as JPG and attach the file with your posting

                          ive got a screen shot but this forum said the file to big????can i e-mail it to u????or what should i do..mspaint will only save as "bitmap" so i had to save in photoshop..???

                            save a screenshop like i said as JPG

                            photoshop might be a solution, but there should be many tools available to save or convert to jpg

                            of course you could just as well post/write all the information that the screenshot would offer
