DivX to DVD problem (Div3)

I'd like to convert my DivX avi-files to mpeg-1/2 -format to be able
to see them with my Standalone DVD-player.

- Cucusoft Pro 4.10 gives an error message:

" Can't initialize avi file c:\tmp\stargate-[350]-[AC3]-[AMC].avi,
compressor = div3"

- TMPGEnc doesn't regocnize the file format at all.

I can play the movie in Windows Media Player 8, BSPlayer 1.0,
Media Player Classic.

I suppose the solution to this problem is quite an easy one but
The time is a factor here.I'm a in a hurry and also a bit impatient so could someone please tell me how to proceed here?

It would appear that your .AVI contains an .AC3 audiostream. Therefore:

In TMPGEnc, under the "Environmental Settings" "VFAPI plugin" tab rightclick on the "Direct Show Multimedia Reader" and increase to one greater than the highest priority of listed items. This will enable TMPGEnc to accept a properly encoded .AVI with .AC3 audio for input...

In fact I found the solution.It was simple as I suspected.
I uninstalled all my DivX codecs, then installed DivX 3.11alpha
and after that DivX 5.11 and voila!
Thank you for your AC3 hint anyway.Also thanks to UncasMS,
your question about installed DivX3 made me remember this
trick to delete new 5.11 codecs and install 3.11 and after that
5.11 again.
