    best codec pack?

    whats the best codec pack to use? i was using ace mega codec pack v601, but on a pro install my windows explorer would keep crashing out each time i visited a directory with avi's in.
    Intel Quad Q6600@3000
    water cooled
    2gb ram
    160gb 2xseagate sata raid 0
    gforce 8800GTS 512mb

      Don't use a codc "pack". Download and install ONLY those codecs that you determine you actually NEED.

      For playback, the FFDShow filter/codec should take care of mosy, if not all, of your playback needs...
