The Morgan Stream Switcher merely provides the ability to switch between a video's multiple audio tracks.

How many audio tracks (and in what formats) does this AVI file have?

"i tryed to change it to 44100 HZ with v.dub but it wont accept it. "

Are you saying that VirtualDub won't let you LOAD the file, or are you saying it it just won't let you convert the audio to 44,100?

If VirtualDub WILL allow you to load the file then, fom the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information" and post the list here.

Your file's primary (or, perhaps, only) audio is in .AC3 format.

You can use VirtualDub v.1.4c-AC3 to extract the audio file as an AC3 file as follows:

            Load your file
From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save as WAV"
Save with a new filename with an AC3 extender!
(Note: This file will NOT play properly, but don't worry)

Now, set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copying"
            Set "Audio" to "No audio"
From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save as AVI"
Save your silent .AVI with a new filename and AVI extender
            Exit VirtualDub

Use PSXAC3Converter to convert the .AC3 file to WAV format

Use VirtualDub to merge your silent .AVI with the .WAV file
            Change the audio conversion and compression to whatever pleases you ;>}

If you have the software (PSX-AC3 Converter and it's GUI) it should be self-explanatory. If you choose not to use the GUI, the included "Readme" files tell you how to use the program with a command line interface only.

                    it IS a simple textfile!

you could have opened it with any editor you like!!

i guess you should become familiar with some basics before fooling around with movies!!!

(but the way px3 convertor is no good choice since it doesnt keep surround signals too good - on the other hand it is simple )

                    here's the readme content:

                    PX3 GUI AC3->WAV Converter Beta (!!!!!) 0.0.4

                    How to call the prog:

                    simply start the executable =

                    Restrictions:

PLEASE DON'T USE THIS BETA FOR ANYTHING ELSE THEN AC3 TO WAV/PCM CONVERSION
                    All other codecs will fail.
Maybee mp3 could work.. DIVX audio won't !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                    What's new in 0.0.4:

                    - DolbySurround downmixing
                    simply check the DS button

                    What's new in 0.0.3:

                    - You can now select how to do the normalize
                    - automaticly, so peaklevels are searched and the gain is normalized
                    - amplify by db, which you select using this little nice slider =
                    - limited the db amplify to max 50 db

                    What's new in 0.0.2:

                    - Blewed up the filesize =
                    - Added Elapsed time

                    Todo:
                    - If someone has a nice graphic to implement in the background, send it to me
                    - 48.000 Hz to 44.100 Hz downsampling
                    - Pregain for AC3, so that you can specify the gain for each channel
                    - AC3 Player (finished, but needs to be implemented)
                    - MPEG Audio -> WAV conversion
                    - when all is finished, simply implement all the nice things to mpeg2avi =

Microsoft for getting me work and test 3 days whats wrong with the normalizer
while it was a compiler optimization bug =
