    DVD to XVID conversion

Hi guyes, i'm new to this forum (obviously ) and i'm a noob in this stuff.
I got some TV series from a friend on dvd and i want to make a perfect dvd-rip to xvid (or mp4). I have been using AoA DVD Ripper and got aprox 240mb for a 30 min show. I have set it to 512x384 @ 23.976 @ 1050kbp/s with Lame mp3 stereo sound @ 128kbp/s CBR. But i have a problem with 2 of the episodes, they should be the same as the other ones, they last 30 min too but i can't get them to be smaller than 350mb for some reasone...I downloaded the newest GordianKnot.RipPack.0.35.0.Setup.2, but since i'm a noob, i can't really configure it i saw this: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/gknot-main6.htm but it didn't make much sense to me since it's obviously not written for this version of GK 'cos it's totally different (at least for me...) so if anyone could explain it to me in a newbie way or maybe pin point my problem with AoA ripper or suggest some other rippers that would fit my knowledge but still be able to make a perfect dvd rip i'd very much appretiate it,

    tnx

the guide in that link you gave is not for xvid, its for 'x264', a different codec (i understand it could be a mistake/typo though).

try this guide here, it should be easier to follow: http://www.divx-digest.com/articles/...rdianknot.html

and here is the correct link on doom9 http://www.doom9.org/gknot-main4.htm

yes, but it didn't help, it doesn't matter what i set it to be, it's always the same...
